Bigmala Community uses your information to run fan accounts, publish the contributions you approve for sharing, and manage participation.
What is public
Approved contributions show your display name unless you choose “A Bigmala listener.” Public profiles are optional. When enabled, they show your handle, display name, bio, approved avatar, and approved contributions you published under your name. Anonymous contributions are excluded from profiles.
Public song likes and demos
Public likes are separate from saved favorites. If your profile is public, your name and approved avatar appear in song like lists and liked songs appear on your profile. If your profile is private, like lists show “A private listener” without your name, handle, or avatar. A Demo badge on a profile identifies a fictional sample account. Public counts include its sample likes.
What stays private
Your email address, password hash, favorites, notification settings, reports, and pending submissions are available only to you and the site owner as needed to operate the service. The owner can identify the author of an anonymous contribution for moderation. Passwords are stored as hashes; reset and verification links expire.
Email and essential cookies
We send account-verification and password-reset emails. Contribution and event notifications, and occasional community updates, are separate opt-in choices in Your space. The site uses a session cookie for sign-in and form protection, remembers your theme preference, and uses an existing visitor cookie for qualified site counts. Community images are hosted here. Music and video embeds may connect to their external services.
Uploads and permission
Upload only images you created or have permission to share. You keep ownership. Publication permission covers displaying your image alongside your contribution or profile on this site. Images are resized and re-encoded for display, removing original embedded metadata.
Control your information
You can make your profile private, change email preferences, edit or withdraw contributions, and download your profile, contribution text, and favorites. Editing a published contribution sends it back for review. Deleting your account removes associated community content and participation records from the active database. Operational backups may retain earlier copies; contact the site owner about backup-related requests.
Operational records
Limited security and moderation records help prevent abuse. Rate-limit identifiers are hashed, expired account links are periodically removed, and sent email bodies are cleared from the application queue. Hosting and email systems may retain their own operational logs.
